Had to make a quick stop

I was doing about 59 in a 55mph windy narrow road. I just came around a corner and saw a schoolbus. It didn't have any flashing lights, nore did I see a stop-sign sticking out from its side. But the safe and cautious driver I am, I slammed the brakes and slowed almost to a complete stop. I couldn't tell if the bus was stopped or moving at the time. But the second I was stopped, the lights finally started flashing and the stop sign swung out.

I know that some may say that It would have been half my fault and half the fault of a child if I would have hit one of them. But regardless, I stopped.
