The guys got out and came into the bar, so I waited outside for the police and told him what I saw. He went in the bar, pulled the guy out and cuffed him. Sure enough it was pot, and the guy had an open container in his car too.

Now, for those of you that say "mind your own business, pot isn't that bad", i agree. But, we dont want crime happening at our place of work.

So they were sitting in their truck and smoking? Not bothering anyone else? Maybe if they were out in the open I could see this being a problem, but it seems to me it was no big deal. And, it's not like they were smoking crack. It's POT for christ's sake! Cigarettes are more harmful!!! To those that are still stuck in the dark ages and think that pot is evil, and "for losers", it's time to wake up. You are brainwashed by what America wants you to believe.

You can't believe that they were going to sleep it off before driving, can you?

So it wouldn't bother you if they were parked in your driveway or out front of your house doing the exact same thing?
My post record on drug legalization stands on its own. Pot doesn't bother me, but that doesn't mean I'll turn a blind eye if I catch people smoking up around my home or place of work. Even if it were legal I doubt it would ever be legal to toke behind the wheel or in public.

Surely to drink more. Anybody who would be dumb enough to smoke in public and have open liqour in their car I will place money on as people who would have no qualms about driving drunk and/or stoned.

In most states the offenders would just get a ticket ofr possesion. They can't be arrested for driving under the influence because they weren't operation a vehicle at the time the police approached them.

Why are you so threatened by it? It's not like they are going to jump out of their car afterwards and run around like wild men and rape all the women. You fear that which you dont understand.

Had some kids arrested for smoking pot at our community's pool. I was there with my wife and family and they showed up, messed with a vending machine and then lit up while we were all swimming. Went out, got my cellphone, and called security who came out, then they called the cops and they came out and talked with them... but the kids got rid of the evidence before the cops got there.

Turned out they were all trespassing in our neighborhood and were banned from coming back (yeah yeah, I know).

Anyway, nothing really happened other than they can tell their friends that it's not a 'cool' place to go hang out and smoke pot. Which is all I really wanted. I don't care if you smoke in private, just don't think you can do it in a family setting.

I sure hope those guys don't read this forum. You will probably have a good ass kicking coming if they do.

The restaurant is for "fine dining." I would think a lot of patrons would be put off by a pot smoker loitering in the parking lot. Therefore, such behavior could affect the business. TallBill did the right thing.

I would have ignored it or told them to leave the premises.

Good for you. I would have done the same thing. They were doing something illegal on your property. It's your responsibility to call the cops.

Note to forum: It's safe to smoke by Waylman's house.
We're talking about someone's private property. My opinion is this: You can smoke at your house, just don't bring it by my house. I don't think that's a lot to ask, and I don't think it's over the top to call the cops when people can't follow this simple bit of common sense.

Exactly. Tallbill doesn't do a thing about this because it is "socially acceptable" to drink. Why is it acceptable? Because you have been programmed to think this way. Brainwashed fools.

This reminds me of the morning I witnessed a drug deal on the corner of my block. 2 kids on their way to school were waiting for a car to come by... they made the deal not 50 feet away from my driveway...

Do you want that happening where you live ?

Here we go again. It doesn't matter what the law in your country says. What counts is your own judgment of right and wrong... WOW
I don't understand that kind of reasoning. If you feel like that people should be able to smoke pot then help pass the laws to support your point, but don't argue that the law isn't valid.

Good job reporting them. Nuff said
