Had my topic deleted, quick question for the Mods.

First, I am sure it was deleted for a good reason. No complaints there.

Second, although I have few posts, I have lurked long enough to know posts that question why other posts are locked or deleted are locked or deleted themselves. I can deal with that. Guilt by association and all....

But before this post bites the big one, or while you are in the process of killing it , could you drop me a line mentioning why the old post was deleted so I can avoid such problems in the future.

I think I may know why, but I thought it was far enough removed to not be a violation of the rules. If it was, just lmk.

BTW, the other post was the one about what to do with some excess bandwidth.

does anyone get an explaination? I say timeouts work great to reflect on all the possibilities a post can be instantly deleted and your vacation given.

I speak from experience.

Each time I didn't think I'd get a timeout, but it was crystal clear after the fact.

Spoonfeeding in life should end around 13.

What exactly does it take to get banned anyway? I've seen some pretty bad stuff in here and massive flamefests but AFAIK it never resulted in a ban.

I got a vacation for PWI. To get banned you pretty much have to piss off a mod.

Depends on who you are. Longtime members, at least certain ones, can do pretty much what they want to. I've seen that going on for years.
