I went to a big-box store today to check out some clothes over lunch. I wasn't way from my car for more then 15 minutes, when I was on my way back. I saw a 2000 (or so) green jeep cherokee sitting beside my car running. No big deal. Got to my car, unlocked the door as I normally do with the remote and opened it up. I saw a bunch of snow in the car and thought, WTF? looked up and my head unit was jacked, along with my radar detector from the glove box. The Jeep was still just pulling away, so I chased after it hopeing to catch it, or at least get the plate #. Lucky me, the plate was covered with snow.
Anyway, my door seems to work fine, and it seems to lock properly with the remote. How long can I go before I need to fix it? At this point biggest problem might be water getting in the door. Any other issues? I probably won't get a new head unit for a while. (might try and put old factory deck back in) and wont have anything of much value in the cabin.

Rough guess on lock repair/body work/paint? Edit: Its an 2002 Civic EX.
