- Model: GLi
- Engine: 2.0L Turbo
- Trim Level: Fahrenheit
- Modifications: None
- Mileage: ~5500 Miles
I got my car back from the dealership two days ago. Car was hit, VW did all the repairs - and I am very happy! They fixed everything I complained about, under warranty, and my service advisor was probably the nicest guy I have ever dealt with.
One thing that kind of bugs me -- I left the car an extra day to have an oil change, but when I checked the levels, I noticed that the oil level meter was just above the MAX line on the dipstick. Not very much over, but enough to make me think about it.
I did check it while the engine was hot, and running for more than an hour. I am going to check it again over the weekend while I warm the car up for 10 minutes or so.
Am I supposed to check it when the car is cold? Warm? I can't find a solid answer. Should I run the engine for a few minutes first? Check it after an hour?
I cannot check it while the engine is running; when I do, the engine starts to suck air and moves left and right thumpingly (lol.)
