and Spearmen Rhino is also right down the street too.

Nuclearfusion: i think you can play at Speedzone without a driving license.

also, I think if you pay 25 buck it will be all-you-can-play. (not during peak hours though).

i remember in HS...in 97, me and my friend would clip speedzone $10 coupons from the pasadena star news (we bought like 100 of the newspapers) and we'd go there and fill up our race cards with money and we raced that whole summer for free and played a ton of games... it was fun...

Damn it...I am too lazy to read everyone's posts in this thread. So if I am missing something then dont be mad at me. I am interested in joining you guys. D&B in Irvine works best for me, the Block would be second best. Keep me posted, thanks.

Speedzone is like 20 minutes from the block. It's not too far, whatever we pick it will be far for someone.
How about SAT November 9th at 5pm? If we can set a date we can get things settled and get a list
going and rides situated.

Why don't you guys try Palace Park or something in Irvine? Similar to Speedzone, albiet worse.
 
I am up for anything..... So far I am clear on those dates.

To those whiner's who complain its too far when its practically in your backyard and want it moved to your doorstep...

We dont care about you guys..we arent catering to you guys.. if you want to come you come.. dont whine that COI is too far..

Part of teh fun of these meets is to have fun and get to know the people behind the screen names.. if you dont want to indulge in that then you dont have to show up and hence you should stop whining.

2 weeks back I rode on my motorcycle all the way to northern San Deigo County (from LA county) for a GSTWIN meet.. I didnt ask it to have it at Angeles Crest (though we could have cause they did open it just in time - was closed due to the fire).

So my point is either you suck it up and come or just stop whining..

YOu said it Good guy... WHile i understand that the closer for someone the better, but as someone mentioned before, it will always be too far for someone. So, please... list if you are able to go and I will see what kind of deal we can get for group discounts at speedzone.

as it stands this might just be the biggest ATOT meet around.. If all those "hopefuls" show up then we would be in big trouble crowd control wise.. no body wants a huge bunch of geeks crowding the bar.. 😛

You guys are still complaining that its too far and no one will be happy. If we had it in Irvine what about the people that live around santa monica? Imagine their drive. What if we had
it at Universal Citywalk.. you guys in orange county would be complaining. There is really nothing we can do. Industry is what the NE part of la county, the people that
have a long drive (40 minutes plus) are the ones in san pedro/redondo. All the rest have about a 20-30 minute drive traffic being good. This isn't a huge request just a one time
thing to get to know other AT members and hopefully kick some racing butt and hang out play arcades and stuff. I'll be on the slick track so bring it!

Now the people who said that are going are:

NutBucket
andylawcc
The_good_guy

As for rides, I live in Long Beach and my parents house is in Downey, I have room for two people (maybe 3) I can pick up anyone within a reasonable distance (10-20 minutes) of those two cities or you
can come there and we can carpool to Industry. If anyone else has any rides to offer post it so we can get it going.
