I wish I had more wisdom teeth to take out. Already had my top and bottoms out (4). The drugs (hydrocodone) are just too good to not like.

I had all four taken out at like 7am one morning and was working by 9am. Worst part was finding out with the numbness I filled my keyboard with blood.

Bonus was I had three more wisdom teeth that are now in place.

I personally think either most people really have a much lower pain tolerance than they state or are going to craptastic dentists.

Well, in all honesty, it depends on the degree of difficulty of the extraction. Someone whose wisdom teeth are totally impacted is going to be more sore because of the increased maneuvering and time needed to get the teeth out.

Luckily for me my upper 3rd molars were erupting in a normal position but had stopped erupting due to lack of room. My lower wisdom teeth were just semi impacted with the back half exposed.

So, mine were relatively easy extractions due to tooth position and I wasn't sore hardly at all post op.

Thinking about the TV show Arrested Development...any good?

Totally. Watch the whole series in order, then do it again and again. That show has great replay value and you'll always catch something you didn't see before. One of my favorite shows ever.

Also, plan for tomorrow to be awful. My surgery was probably more complicated than most have had for wisdom teeth (hospital OR, 3-4 hr surgery, had to remove most of the bone from my lower jaw in one spot on each side to get at my bottom wisdom teeth), but however bad I felt the first day, it was nothing compared to day 2.

I watched both seasons of Party Down in like a week. Definitely watch it if you like dark/quirky comedy.

Careful with those pain meds. I just got off Percocets for pain, the withdrawls are NOT fun. I was on them for like 4 or 5 months, so you should be OK.

As far as Arrested Development? Best show ever IMO.

I just can't start playing that game. I think the MGS series has jumped the shark. Maybe the drugs would help.

I stopped at MGS2. never have I seen a more insidious pile of writing garbage lumped into one single piece of content.

what a joke, lol.

OP: first 2 seasons of Dexter are available on streaming.

also, lots of great Docs. the GF and I are keen on the N Korea documentaries when we can find them.

A State of Mind
Crossing the Line
are my favorites, so far.

There is also an NG Lisa Ling documentary, and a short, but good, episode in the Vice Guide to Travel series (which also has really good stuff on gun markets in Pakistan? and a visit to Chernobyl)

there are a few others, I think, but I'm forgetting the titles. The search sucks a bit, because it won't find "subject"

So I watched Four Lions, S1E1 of Arrested Development (both funnay) and S1E1 of swamp People. I may sneak in some Prison Break this weekend as well as some of the other movies.

More to come tomorrow, but I appreciate the recommendations.

Tip: Don't try comedies.
Had one wisdom tooth and one regular molar pulled last year. The molar they gave up pulling it out after trying for over half an hour and sent me to a specialist, who then (after shortly trying to pull it) broke it in pieces with a drill and broke them out separately. Due to all the force applied it hurt like hell for several days. The wisdom tooth came out really easy, but then the wound got infected and I was sick from that for a week. Laughing isn't an option the first day unless they really came out with no effort at all.

Battlestar Galactica
Dexter (takes a few episodes to get into but really good)
Prison Break (only the first two seasons are worth watching)
Archer
