One thing you will learn quickly is life isn't fair and often winning an argument means how many friends you have when the argument is made. I don't think anyone is going to ban you so forget this and continue on your way.
 
you can clearly tell who has the bigger ego when they respond violently to a filler comment. in this forum, you dont need to defend yourself. no one knows exactly where you live. and if you see this as a war, i clearly picked the better side. please explain the biased part.
 
I did not tell them how to post. I just made a comment that said the enduser of the computer might want a look at an LCD. Also I made a comment on looks, because I felt it was important. That was a suggestion and I did not bash anyone. I was telling people that they have to take the "looks" compartment into account also.

Also, if people start jumping out and callign you miss cleo, I would think that it would be offensive. They were basically saying that I had no right to make the comment that I did and that I should just leave. I had every right to make my comment as it was as valid as other comments made.

Also you are saying someone can take potshots at me and I can not respond or else I will be condemned? That is against good logic right there.
 
Ya also, my comments were very sarcastic also. I don't see how you defend them and then say that my comments were clearly very offensive and etc.

An example.
Nick said Yes sir.
I responded by saying. Ya nice to see you put in your place.

Obvoiusly, I knew that his comment was sarcastic but I pretended not to notice it.
 
And that was a dent in their ego. Because you kept saying "What if" or you should include this they got annoyed and started coming back with wise cracks. If you felt all that needed to be said in a recommendation then post your own, but dont keep putting down other peoples. THe fact that you said "Thats wrong" almost every time didn't help matters.

That is the kind of attitude that people do not appreciate on the forums. On here we are all equal (except of course the mods 😛) so just drop the pompous attitude that you know everything, because you dont.

No one said that you should just leave, and no one flamed you. If you have an idea post it, everyone is all ears, but dont keep putting down other peoples posts, or suggesting soemthing to them every time they post. It gets annoying.

Once again, chill out, stop whining, and get some thicker skin. If you keep this up, people will remember down the road (if you still post here then) about this. Dont start off on the wrong foot.

Dude keven obviously you have not read the posts. I was suggesting that LCDS and looks were a big consideratoin and they basically made those comments. I would think that it would be the other way arround. By making those comments, they were implying that I should post in their way. Also, I was not the one to complain about this flame. If your saying that I should have thicker skin, maybe they should not have responded to me and ignored me instead? Funny how there is a double standard is there not?

Hacp, you are a cocky, pompous, noob (and yes you deserve that nickname). You dont take anyones advice and you believe that you know everyone. Im through arguing with you.

this is where it all started. the way you worded it made possible for him to comment on your post. you could have stated something like the following: "If you want you can get an LCD monitor to save space/eyestrain, etc. CRT is very bulky and heavy. and how about this XXXXX case? <post reason why here>, but the case should be the op's choice because of his personal interests. Seach newegg for one then list it for commenting. If results are negative...next?"

you need to understand that anyone on this forum will find anything you post in a weird way and then quote it for comments to get more post counts, or maybe try to correct things. in this case that didnt happen.
 
Yes and that was clearly a suggestion. Maybe the You guys miss the point! may have been offensive to some very sensative people, but the rest of the comment was a suggestion that they should at least consider that he might want an LCD.

Also, the quoting and increasing post count thing, I am not familiar with. In most forums, people don't just spam like hell. I guess thats what happens when you don't have active moderators.

Also, gamingPhreek, I have not called you names. yes I have questioned your bias, and I have questioned if you read the posts or just skimmed through them, but that was totally uncalled for. I will not hold any future bias against you when I post in these forums, but wether you are rude to me in the future or not is up to you.

Finally, n0cmonkey, I get nothing form bickering. I was just trying to get my point across.

That post further solidifies what i stated earlier, as well: You know nothing, and no one can tell you anything. How do you have a bias on an issue in which someone posts crap and then tells everyone that they are wrong??
