Got my Miglia. So far, so good. More interestingly, my PCI FW card works just fine. I don't know to get more detailed info for it, but I vaguely remember when it was installed under windows it being a TI chipset card. So if that helps your Wiki HCL any, there ya go!
Thanks for the tip on the rack. It looks great -- nicer than my old Herc Game Theater XP rack -- on one side of my monitor, with my awesome macmall enclosure on the other. Hey, just because the computer is in an Antec case doesn't mean my desktop can't look sexy.

Any new thoughts on the 2nd harddrive that isn't recognized by OSX? The strange thing is that OSX recognises my external USB HD. Regards, Roel

3. Worked perfect in 10.5.5, 10.5.6 I am not sure if it is a video card problem or not, but every once in a while when I am moving around the screen quickly the mouse will stop like it locks up and then gets released after half a second or so.
There's an 8x00 series bug (when iTunes is open), and then there's a general mouse bug. I have the general mouse bug on my UD3P in 10.5.6.

Ah yep you are right. Any way to fix it?

Maybe I'd better connect it with a sata - usb cable to a free USB port, since OSX recognises my external HD

Hi Mosslak,
Thanks for your reply. I realy appreciate your help. Checked again the bios settings. They're all according to Kaido's guidelines. Maybe the drive is giving troubles because it isn't formatted yet?
You are right. I am still using the USB Startup method which is pointed out in the first pages. Wasn't actualy aware that you are all using a different method. I didn't work myself through all of the 66 pages so I guess I've missed that one. Is there an easy description available how to use this new method?
Regards, Roel

I am getting confused now. Removed the USB Stick before the bootingproces. Computer hangs and doesn't finish the boot process. It had the USB as the first priority for booting, but the HDD as the second, so this shouldn't matter.
So I've put everything back and it works flawlessly again. I was actualy under the impression that I should keep the stick in all the time. Is it realy just as simple as leaving the USB stick out?

I don't have the link handy, but there's a thread on InsanelyMac about regressing your Quicktime via a french installer version that worked for me. My mouse activity in 10.5.6 was getting pretty intolerable.
I'm not sure which of the problems I had, but I don't have them anymore. Although wasn't quicktime refreshed? Anyone want to try that an report back?

Hey Kaido...
I know you said you were going to post an update for the UD3P board... But is there anything specific that would be done differently than the DS3L package...
I have my hack built... just waiting for the memory to show up tomorrow!
I am just curious about bios settings (upgrade needed?) and which SATA ports and settings I should be using for my optical drive and my main disk drive? Should I be using the GSATA?
I did download your UD3P-package... but it really doesn't give specifics about the install procedure (retail DVD) Should I just follow along with the DS3L package. Or is there more to it?
Can't to get going on my new machine tomorrow...
I guide to install on a UD3P on another site... would you make any changes? or go in a completely different way? http://auzigog.com/2008/12/23/hackintosh-20/
Thanks for all your help.
