Hacking challenge...

My computer teacher at school just got a new laptop, and challenged me and 2 other students who know computers, to try hack his laptop and just try to get into it. The rules are that he gets undtil monday to secure it with any firewall or whatever he wants to secure it with. I don't really know how to get through firewalls...does anyone have any good ways of getting into his laptop?

hahahahahahahahahahahaha...good luck 😉

My best suggestion is to wait until you can get physical access.
Otherwise it's obvious both you and your friend know next to nothing about security.

hahah i hope you didnt bet him....

nmap is a good start, scan it for any open ports maybe?
then use those to tunnel thru the firewall...I don't know, that would be pretty tough

Since you and your friends have no fvcking clue as to what you are doing bring an axe and hack the sh!t out of the computer. That way you win no matter what.

Will you have physical access to the laptop or does it have to be over the network?

Speed

over the network

EDIT: We're probably gonna be able to see his computer on the school's network, but it's gonna be password protected and a bunch of junk

One question, what OS do you intend to use when you do your haxxoring?

Also your description is very vague. What kind of network is the computer on?

it's on a network with the rest of the school computers...they can pretty much see each other, but the administration computers, including his laptop are password protected.

If you can find out some information about the physical topology of the network you might be able to do some work on the Adress Resolution Protocol.

Do some research on ARP spoofing or poisoning.

Good luck. You need a flavor of unix to really do anything.

ARP or DNS cashe poisoning could be a good bet.

Omgz, Yes!

well, if what you want to imply is that i'm doing illegal things, would it be illegal if u had an agreement beforehand with the teacher, and he's the one who came up to u first.....i don't think so...
