Haha, the movie is horrible but I love it for the pure entertainment value. It's one of those movies I can watch every month and it nevers gets old, just like Starship Troopers.

I like it... obviously it's not the most intellectually deep and moving movie, but it's fun entertainment.

'Sneakers' was better. I think the only thing that redeems 'Hackers' is the 1/3 of a second where we can see Angelina Jolie's nipple.

What I don't understand was why Hollywood thought hackers were also metrosexual transvestites.

I know a gender-queer/ transvestite 'hacker'. They do exist. altho of course most 'hackers' are acne-ridden teenage boys

You're all forgetting Swordfish where the guy franticly taps at the keyboard and can break 1024 bit encription in 30s whilst getting head! Quality

I love Hollywood OS's where you never use a mouse and every time you tap a key the computer bleeps: fantastic suff.

and how they can zoom in on pics and magicly "enhance" the pic so they can make out someone's face in great detail, even though in the original pic their face was a single pixel.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US... oh wait, this is too advanced for this era... Ill wait a few years...

Hackers <bad>, sneakers <good>, swordfish <bad>, braveheart <good>... i give up

this is painful to watch, i really want to turn it off

it really sucks! :Q

Would you like some crackers with that???

Hollywood is about entertainment not reality.

I saw Hackers recently. The movie tried to make people sitting in front of computers look exciting which it isn't.

Napoleon Dynamite is still the worst movie I have seen in the last five years.

 That one's brilliant, some guy just says "enhance!" and they smack a few keys and suddenly you can read the newspaper from the reflection in some guy's sunglasses who's standing 50 yards away from the camera!

I like how everything's graphical; instead of hacking being a seriously slow and tedious process-usually with a termal window- there's some dodgy graphic of a 3D grid or someting and it all turns orange, suddenly they're into 'the mainframe' or whatever.... fantastic. Then you see a CGI clip where you're flying around some circuitry or something.

Also, the hackers are buff guys with tattoos and trendy haircuts instead of hyper-nerdy 17 year olds with acne who can't grow mustaches but try anyways...
