bandwidth is ranked in the top 200 now. Not sure where my mhz ranks; somewhere between 300 and 350. I keep selling it and buying it back -wasted a lot of money & time.


Tip for new people: Until you have enough kbps to attack people who are in the top couple hundred (and earning 1000's of credits per tick), one place that seems ripe for the picking is actually in the higher rankings. People apparently tend to attack those they can just barely beat. Meanwhile, the people ranked 900th have been sitting there for days and days without getting attacked... just accumulating points. I found a nice streak where I went player by player; each had at least 20-30k in credits that I could take with very low bandwidth. That let me build up my virus quicker.

On the contrary - why would you attack someone you know is actively working with their account. It's the people who are inactive who have the credits. You're just wasting your time with active people.

You passed me by 3 spots, pending the attacks I just launched & stuff I just purchased. But, I'm heading to bed now.

However, the new puppy gets up at about 2:30 to 3 to go outside to the bathroom - I'll do 5 quick attacks, then back to bed. Then, up at 6 tomorrow. 5 more quick attacks...

I've been hitting them all day, especially the ones losing rank - a sure sign that they aren't spending their accumulated credits.

lmao, looked at the clock and thought "hey, only 3 more minutes for another tick. I can stay on 3 more minutes..." And, planning ahead, at 3am, I launch 5 attacks (should be good for at least 50k), sell all my mhz (another 70k), and upgrade the virus again. 🙂

I had a friend who would set an alarm in the middle of the night to update his Ikariam.

Set an alarm for every 2.5 hours. 😛

Heh, I made sure I've had things constructing 24/7, if that wasn't possible I delayed the upgrading a couple of hours, and leveled up something minor, so that the main job won't finish during my sleep time and waste hours doing nothing.
