All Toyota and Lexus GPS systems can be overridden with this "hack". No mod is needed, its a built in override. Toyota locks up the nav system while the car is in motion, you can't make any changes to your destination etc. You can find this on just about any Toyota Lexus vehicle forum.

I thought this was common. It is with the Acura Nav.

All you need do is find the OEM manufacturer of the GPS units. All of the systems are made by people such as VDO Dayton (the Toyota one 'looks' like VDO).

It varies, my TL can be changed while in motion. I know someone w a 300C and I believe the car has to be in park. IMHO, not being able to change it while driving is enough of an annoyance that I wouldn't buy that car if I definitely wanted NAVI.

Have a lexus, but when I get to that volume screen nothing happens when I hit the top left corner.

Select Start if you have a passenger.
