Laguna Seca

this is on a porkier american NSX too. I can never get above 100mph across the line like he did in the show, so obviously he has some sort of tune as well.

are you comparing a game..to real life?

in last ep of Top Gear Jeremy drove an NSX around Laguna Seca in GT4, then in real life. Looks like he drove a slower car IRL than he did in GT4, one of the reasons he couldn't meet his time from the game.

i don't think differences between a japanese-spec NSX and an american-spec make much difference.

Yeah, he got 1:41 and change on a ps2, but the fastest he got in a real NSX was 1:57. Apparently he really cooked the breaks on the real one ;)

The main reason is that GT4 is an arcade racer. ;)
Yes it is compared to real PC sims.

Yeah, I'd like to know as well, because I've been looking for quite a long time. Also are there any games with as many cars?

I'll agree that there aren't as any that is anywhere near as full featured as GT4...
But GTR is very pretty and is considered one of the most realistic track games.
Richard Burns Rally is by far the most realistic simulator ever created. Go on any racing sim forums and just about anyone would agree.
rFactor.
LFS, popular, but I like the others better.
Gran Prix Legends, oldie but a classic.

I got thrown off of Laguna Seca by the sheriff when I tried to ride the track on a mountain bike.

I doubt the very physics of the course in GT4 are very accurate, anyhow.

only the best video games have to offer...

um how about nowhere close?

which game might rival GT4, besides forza (even that is too cartoonish), in terms of simulation.
