What a #@$%ing marvelous day:|
First off my hands were swollen from digging foundation holes yesterday, and I had to do more of that today....
I had to continue working on the deck etc...
Many other things as well....but it was all doable. Maybe it was a little backbreaking, but it was doable. We were using the clients equipment as his request, and because he has the most rickety ladders, the only 8+ft A-shaped ones on site, they were swaying back an forth and I nearly fell off of it, almost plummeting like 16ft down onto some tools:|
Everything was going okay....
Until I stepped on 2 2 1/2 inch framing nails that was sticking out of a piece of 2x6.....One of them didn?t make it through ?the other went right through my work boot like a knife through butter
Went into my foot about a half-inch or so if not more?probably 5/8?..fvk the English measuring system right now:|
Then, I was taking down some joist supports down because the client changed his mind on he design. We were using freshly-sharpened scrapper /crowbar deelies, and because of the precarious position ( the joists for the second floor of the deck needed to be modified and their place holders needed to be removed...I was on top of an 8ft ladder...) It slipped off of the galvanized nails, went right through my safety gloves, and sliced into my pinky....
I was dripping blood everywhere. :|
Then nearing the end of my day, I got a splinter that was about 1/6th of an inch thick lodged into my right palm. It was off of a 2x12 piece of pressure treated (hard as hell) and yes, it went right through my safety gloves :|
That?s the problem with globes, you need ones that give you grip and protection (leather) but you need to be agile and flexible (thick rubber) and going the middle ground route leads to crap like this?
At least I am eating some pizza right now and drinking a coke so it?s not like I will go out and kill someone over this?..not anymore anyways?
It s fvking g00d pizza😉
