Hey everyone, I have my H80 setup on my 3570k and I was wondering why my temps are always in the high 30s and all the way up to 60 (under load) at stock. I havent overclocked because I wanted to make sure everything was fine with it before. I used the "pea" method when I applied my Arctic Silver 5 the other day. Maybe it wasnt enough? Should I apply more of it?

btw, I am using Real Temp to see what the temps are.

Also, I have the back fan pushing and the front fan pulling.

Let me know what you think

YMMV but my H80 on my 2500k got around 20-30C idle and max 40-45 load.

It depends on ambients, case temperature, what profile you have it set to, and general processor differences. Your temperatures are fine.

Plus, FMX has a SB processor, which has solder between the die and the IHS. Your IB processor uses TIM instead, and people have found that it is not as effective in cooling their processor as the solder in SB was.

True... apples to oranges regarding the processors - I was not aware of the differences in manufacturing so I am sure OP's temps are fine. At any rate, they aren't alarming.
