Not surprised at all.
You can throw a ton of money at a car and eventually you will have a formula that will beat a bike in a straight line.
Difference is that one can do this type of race all day long and then ride home.
The other need to be put on a flatbed after a handful of races.

The GT-R rules the straight-line speed world ( see TX2K 2015) and this R35 is by no means a daily driver. SPE used much of the day to dial in the tune.

The first two runs saw the GT-R limp out due to clutch pressure issues. The final run though was clean and a clear win for SP Engineering. Go-Go Godzilla!

No replacement for displacement.

A turbo 'busa could easily take this thing in a drag race. There are a number of commercially available turbo kits which will take a Hayabusa to 400+ hp for around $5-6k.

On a track, it would be a different story, though.

That was pretty cool. Surprised the Veyron didn't do better but that GTR was pretty dialed in... must have cost a fortune.

The H2R is a track only bike. It's not street legal.
So there will be a couple of trailers leaving that track

Good point. Though I'd argue the H2R is a little closer to "streetable" than a 1350hp GT-R running on C16 race fuel.
