I'd agree not to go with oem lights. They're there more for looks than they are for practicality. I recommend becoming a member of www.nasioc.com if you're not already. There is a ton of information on lighting there, more so than you'll find on a computing forum. If you've read what they have on there and are still unsure, everyone will just tell you to contact Dan Stern, as you've seen linked here many times, and just buy whatever he tells you.

Fog lights are a very good idea. But do not buy them from the dealer. You will overpay and the quality of both the product and the beam pattern will not be the best. My personal choice for Fog or Driving lights are those made by PIAA as they use real glass for the lens and the beam patterns are very well defined. It will light up what you want to see after they are properly aimed. There are some other good ones out there as well. Only drawback to aftermarket lights, is they may not fit in preexisting bumper cutouts, may need custom brackets and usually their own wiring harness. But the results are worth it. And for heavy fog, Yellow is best for depth perception.

I want something that'll fit what I have, because I'm not sure how to handle getting custom brackets....sounds like it'll be difficult and more monies. I was looking for some DIY guides on how to install them, but I couldn't find any on the 25rs site or nasioc site. Anyone know if it requires me to raise the car, if so, where to get cheap ramps or a jack (can I use the spare tire one)? I do think you have to remove the tires.....so....

My headlights are in the mail! I'll post pictures if anyone is interested!

Thanks!
