If Congress refuses to do these two things, the very least they could do is repeal legal tender laws and allow people to choose a different currency in which to operate.
Hahahahahahaha! More proof that my buddy Ron Paul is a crazy person.

His request to audit the Federal Reserve seems a lot more reasonable than allowing people to choose a different currency.

No one is saying otherwise.

How about doing a little more reading?

The Federal Reserve Transparency Act would eliminate restrictions on GAO audits of the Federal Reserve

There is nothing wrong with the GAO restrictions. They have also been audited many times by third-party audits that were more broad.

That's the debate.

But my response to your post was due to your making the case that this bill is something that it's not. Typical straw man. Say the bill is dumb because the Fed is already audited, when the truth is that the bill seeks to remove restrictions regarding what is/isn't audited. If you'd post with more honesty, I wouldn't have even bothered responding.

And, typically, you don't even look at what is audited and what isn't, you merely just rubber stamp whatever RP feeds you. Does it get tiring to chew another cow's cud? They have had many broad audits in the past and continue to have them.

Additionally, do you even work in audit or around auditors? Even public companies have restrictions on what is audited. It isn't like they can go any where and do any thing. Sure, if they find something they can dig pretty damn far, but they are not omnipotent.

All entities need to have some security and less than perfect transparency. Iti s ridiculous and naive to believe otherwise.

The CFL sent out an email this morning:

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Yesterday, I wrote to inform you of Ron Paul?s bill to audit the Federal Reserve, HR 1207.

Yesterday?s response was staggering - and overwhelming. In fact, response was so incredible that the traffic simply overwhelmed our servers. What that means is many who tried to take action couldn?t.

:D

I have said nothing to the sort here, nor nothing otherwise. More straw man from LK.

Why don't you respond to the actual words in my posts rather than what you, for some reason, think I have said or noted?

More straw man, and more irrelevancy.

Why not argue the specific and relevant restrictions regarding the bill?
