H: drive

I just built a new computer with windows XP Pro.
My hard drive is labeled H:. Someother drive on a multimedia card reader is labeled C:.
I am having trouble down loading a driver. It looks to install it in drive C:, which has no disc in it, and will not proceed.
Does someone know why the drive is H:? Is there a way to change the label of these drives? Will it cause me more trouble in the future?
Thanks for any help.

Time for a reinstall of windows. Its a hard lesson. Have did it many times. Dont plug in the card reader until windows is installed.

reinstall your OS..this time remove your card reader and other harddrives...

whenever i do a fresh install of OS. i would use 1 HD (which automatically becomes drive C) and a dvd drive (which becomes drive D).. then when OS installation is finished, i would add one drive at a time -depending on the order i want them to appear alphabetically....
