I tried playing on my gtx260 and E8500. even with some reduced settings, it was pretty poky. of course you have nearly 10 times the gpu power I have.

Since you have experience with the game what kinds of fps would I be looking at on my rig.

6950 is unlocked to 6970

Where are the hardest hitting maps and do you have the game sitting on your ssd or spindle drive?

I would love to try predicting but will be way off I'm sure. There are simply too many variables all of which require quite a bit of trial and error or research and the game is annoyingly difficult to get used to. e.g. Video memory should be default, HT should be off, Post processing makes it look blurry. Suffice to say that you probably won't find it much fun on that rig. I didn't enjoy it much on the maximum settings I could play at with a 920 at 4ghz and 2 overclocked 4890's (not that far from your current rig but 2gb memory makes a healthy difference). Single player isn't so bad but in towns with draw distance 1500 metres you'll be lucky to stay in your 20's and bear in mind draw distance can and does go to 10,000 metres. I have the game on my intel ssd drive (not that fast I know) and OS on vertex 2. A ramdisk is probably the best solution BUT don't imagine you will make her beautiful (and she is). And you have a beefy contemporary rig!

I've always been more of a single gpu guy and stay away from Sli and Xfire.

I know the draw distance is a killer it was the same in the first game bring it down will do good things for your fps.

I'm in the middle of moving from my Dual 22' 1680x1050 (I don't do 16:9) to dual 24' screens 1920x1200.

So if I do check it this weekend my numbers will be for the lower res.

And I may push my overclock the extra 400mhz to 4Ghz haven't really felt the need to in the past so left it as is.

Yes. I meant to say 6950, not 5950. I've probably owned more AMD cards than you have. Probably why I confuse them... kind of like a parent who gets their children's names wrong on occasion.
