I tried getting my hands on a leprechaun the last time I was in Ireland, unfortunately they are hard to find. So it looks like you guys are stuck with me until I can find another way to break it.

in all seriousness, she was yelling at me in Romani and chanting, her son (I presume) was yelling at me in Romani and intermittent English "She curse you, you cursed now" or something to that effect. It was fucking weird, and then a whole bunch of Spaniards chased them off.
 
Gypsies are incompatible with society. I can't imagine why any nation would knowingly allow them to enter or permit them to stay.

Fun fact: Gypsies have a very low average IQ, about 80.

While they wouldn't have made 7 million they could probably have done quite well if they put that effort into legit enterprises.

I accidentally slipped at work and said that I got "ripped off" (g___ed). No one said anything, just caught myself.

Found out a relatively short while ago that it was "racist" -- never really put that much thought into the word, barely used it as an adult. It all makes sense in retrospect?
 
When I went to France for a visit, I was impressed by the very odd gypsy motorhome "settlements". They would squat with a few motorhomes in empty land next to the train station parking lot, and had washing machines and such outside. Not sure where they got power from to run the washing machines. Inside the motorhomes would be 50" TVs.

Saw some beggars in Italy and in retrospect I wonder if some were gypsies given the complexion and style of dress. One young woman was very good looking with perfect skin and wouldn't have looked out of place as a model, but nonetheless was begging on the street.

Heh. Yes I had heard of that. Not really around here though, in Toronto. We just have local home-grown crooks scamming people for crappy driveway sealing. Sometimes they just take the money and run, and don't even fake a seal.

Ironically though, apparently down in some parts of the US there are some gypsy families that have become very successful doing such work, doing it well and reliably for a decent price.
