Well I was working out at home, but I got lazy all the time and kept skipping workout and sometimes stopping completely for months, so I signed up for a gym membership. so far it works very well. The fact that I paid $350 of my hard earned cash really keeps me going even when I don't want to get up and go.

The problem is, I feel like I got no system in my workouts. I am not fat at all, and not skinny but I am in horrible physical shape so I am slowly working my way up from low weight to higher weight every week. I do about 3 sets of ten reps for every set of muscles.

I go to gym every other day. I alternate days when I work on my back, triceps, biceps, stomach and chest, and days when I do my legs/cardio(mostly jumprope) plus whatever I was too lazy to do on the previous day. After every workout I feel not only severely exhausted but in some ways sick... Head spinning, dizzy, head pounding. I am assuming I am doing something wrong, and I will ruin my health if I keep going like this.

Also when trying to bench press a barbell, even a very light one my whole body shakes like crazy and I cannot do more than around 5 reps. Is this normal?

I tried going to workout websites to get some info, but they give complicated charts, and I don't want to do any calculations since I am horrible in math. Where can I find a simple to understand regimen that I can follow?

Now the question of food. I try to have meals with some protein every day, but it is already getting extremely boring. I don't eat chicken, so I am limited to veal and fish. Raw meat is very expensive so I try to substitute with canned tuna, canned salmon, eggs and beans. I did some research and apparently canned tuna/salmon/eggs are bad for you unless you eat em no more than say.. 2 times a week each. Either way I end up eating virtually the same crap every two days and I cant even look at this stuff no more. Do I have other options? What do you guys eat and how?

Read the fat loss sticky. All the info is there. If you goal is to gain weight instead of lose it, all the same info applies, just eat more.

Edit: I really can't say enough about the routines there. You should Ideally only be doing about 3-5 different exercises when you start out. It's plenty to work your entire body, and quite hard.
