It was kind of meant to be a prank video, but ended up being a question of - do we give money to the poor & homeless out of charity, or do we do it because we think we're better than others?

Didn't watch the video, but that brings up the question whether or not charity is done for selfish reasons. It's said that people give cause it makes them feel good. IOW, they're receiving benefit from their contribution, and it isn't a selfless act.

Weird. I'd politely decline. If they insisted, I'd either take it, or silently walk off. I'm always a little distrustful of people giving me things with "no strings attached". A few dollars isn't worth a bunch of hassle.
