GWB doesn't like the environment?

<< These include moves to allow road-building in national forests, reverse the phaseout of snowmobiles in national parks, make it easier for mining companies to dig for gold, copper and zinc on public lands, ease energy-saving standards for air-conditioners, bar the reintroduction of grizzly bears in the Northwest and, environmentalists say, make it easier for developers to eliminate wetlands. >>

🙁

Clinton setup all that crap as a political move. The media makes it sound bad and evil and that George Bush is a environment hating oil loving antichrist by removing it.

<< GWB hates free trade...proof is in the pudding with a hoarde of protecionist duties...bring back clinton >>

GWB is an economic genius when compared to Clinton. Obviously you have formed an opinion based on what the media says instead of taking the small effort to figure out that Clinton did jack sh!t for/to the economy, except raise taxes (which Geenspan countered with an interest reduction).

oh yeah? Kyoto is necessary...and Softwood lumber duties are ridiculous...case and point

Clinton's environmentalist policies were draconian. They serve NO GOOD PURPOSE. Bush set them right.

<< GWB hates free trade...proof is in the pudding with a hoarde of protecionist duties...bring back clinton >>

Get your head out of your ass. GWB is the biggest proponent of free trade the world has ever known. The softwood lumber duties might have been a strategic retaliatory measure, which is perfectly justifiable from a pro-free trade stance if it eventually brings about the lowering of tariffs on both sides.

You have ZERO brains, my friend. Kyoto is nothing but a huge, organized penis-envy.

Well, I saw this one coming:|

I can't wait for the day when we have Green Party president, or at least someone who truly cares about the environment. Clinton was just trying to look good, I highly suspect his sincerity.

how many times ahve we been through this...it is hard on the US becausee you pollute no ifs ands or buts...

Free....but fair trade is what it should be.

Bush and Clinton are nearly identical in this regard. Free trade regardless if it's fair.:|

As for the environment...well Bush has his orders he must follow...just like any other corporate.

Point to Shadowhunter.

ShadowHunter, take it easy on them. They haven't thought for themselves yet. They just soak up the drivel that gets served up.

Think of them as "victims". That's how they think of themselves anyway. 🙂

<< Bush and Clinton are nearly identical in this regard. Free trade regardless if it's fair. >>

Free trade is always fair. Free trade is by definition fair. Even concerns like "dumping" and subsidies, I'm convinced only punish those who practice it in the long-term (e.g. Japan).

there will always be 'victims' when it comes to this unless all nations move to a market based solution to pollution...Individual Transferable Quotas

And we should cripple our economy, thus severely hurting the world's economy, because you guys have your panties in a wad over a THEORY that global warming/ozone etc is a problem? I don't think so.

BTW most of those theories have been proven to be wrong multiple times now, the media just hates admitting they're wrong.

Proof 1

Proof 2
