No, the weight gain is related to being an EE student where you don't have any time to excercise... or sleep for that matter

I have, but it's been my own fault. I'm doing grad school and working a lot. It's cut my workout schedule down to nothing. I'm about to start getting in shape for my snowboarding trip after New Year's so I'm gonna cut weight the quickest and dirtiest way possible over December. I'm going to try to drop 15-20 pounds :D

heh, most women I know gain tons of weight and chop off all their hair for the "married do".

Don't be fooled. There is very little difference between the "married do" and the "butch do"

Biologically, once a woman has had children, there's no real incentive to put effort into maintaining sexual attractiveness.

Yep, when we met I weighed 185 lbs, now I way 210. But I guess 25 lbs isn't too bad for 30yrs of being together

HAHA! thats so funny. thats what it seems like all the time. I see it too often. They get married and let themselves go. It is too bad too.

For me, it was the opposite. As we dated then married, i lost approx. 20lbs. I started dating him with VERY short hair, as time went on, i grew it out.

For him, it was the same, he started of heavier than he is now. At this point, he lost a lot of weight too!
Why let yourself go at all? i just never got that.

I did. And then I hit the gym. I weigh the same (6' 210), but it's all muscle now.

I don't have a GF, but I have the same cycle. I run in summer, but in winter I find it too painful to breath in lots of cold air.

Not too bad then. Seems like a lot of people who voted no didn't bother to vote.

I think the worse situation is that you get in to the relationship then you slip, and let yourself go for whatever reason and then you split up and you have gained 20-30lbs+ of fat.

Gaining muscle does't count as that in 99% of cases is not a bad thing :p. But gaining fat in 99% of cases is more often then not a bad thing.
