Guys, which is more important to you?

I just have a question for you all. I have had 2 pretty serious girlfriends in my life, and one of them is current as well. With that said, I have only had sex with 2 different girls. However, most of my friends are single now, and like to go out and meet new girls. They enjoy going out, hooking up with random girls that look good, and then really having nothing with them other than hooking up. I would say that out of my 5 close, single friends, probably only 2 of them actually get to the point of having sex with these girls they meet in clubs/bars, but even then it will only happen like 2 or 3 times.

One thing really bothered me when my friend was like "i don't understand how you can stay with just one girl." and i'm like "dude, I probably have sex more times in 1 week than you do all year ..." and his reply was like "yea, but with the same girl..."

So my question is this ... do you prefer to be with one girl, having sex on the regular with a girl that you care about and can get very intimate with, not feeling wierd about trying new things. Or would you rather go out on the town and have sex with as many girls as possible, even if it is not that often?

From my post ... I'm pretty sure you can see which side I am on :)

EDIT: Oh yea, btw ... i'm 22 and my friends are all around that age.

I think it's a matter of age. Most of the younger males are going to pick the single lifestyle and the choice to have sex with as many girls as possible. The older males are going to mostly pick the first choice because they have been there and done that.

Being a older male I'm going with the first choice.

for a while I was pretty much, get a girlfriend, stay serious and then the sex happens...then i tried the whole going out hooking up with girls randomly...didn't really feel right for me, so whatever floats your boat. but now I can at least know that I tried to be a slut and it wasn't my fortay (spelling)

I did the single thing, been to the doctor quite a few times to make sure I didn't pick up anything and figured since everything came back nice and clean, I'd prefer to keep it that way...

I can't sleep with random girls - I need to get to know them for a while first. With pregnancy, STDs, and psycho women out there, I'm very particular about where I put my penis.

lol sorry to burst your bubble, but i'm a guy. i am just curious how you all think.

i also don't like how sometimes my friends try to push me to talk to new girls, knowing that I have a serious GF. the thing is that out of all my friends, the girls always think i'm the best looking one. and they see me out with my GF, and when my gf goes to the bathroom or something, girls will come up and talk to me and what not. and i think that they wish that would happen to them, and since it doesnt, they want me to take advantage of the situation. it has always been that way with me and my friends though, as far as the girls coming up to me and talking to me w/out me having to do any work heh. its kinda flattering :p

Your friend needs to grow up and realize that sometimes it's all about quality, not quantity. Nothing wrong with "sowing your wild oats" when you're young, but looking down on someone for being monogamous is stupid.

I'd rather be with my wife as I am now than sleeping with someone new all the time, personally.

There have been times in my life when I've preferred to stay single, but it never had anything to do with sex. It had more to do with being able to hang out with friends and get trashed whenever I pleased (college years). Relationship = responsibility, and there have been times when I just didn't want (couldn't handle) the responsibility.

That being said, I very gladly bear the responsibility when the right girl comes along.

Well here's the thing...I like the whole relationship aspect of being with a girl as well as the sex. You can't have a relationship with some random bar skank, even if the sex is great.

Variety is the spice of life and all that, but a relationship with someone you love is too good a thing to give up for random hookups, IMHO at least.
