It probably accounts for all the references needed to complete the paper. Each reference would link to a journal that was performed and written by a team of scientists.
So a single line could be attributed to several scientists.

It took a lot longer than a decade to build and design it (in your case, reading the design documents), so I hope you have a lot of free time on your hands

Sorry to tell you it was already turned on and the first data was collected. Not full speed, but enough to show it works fine and they didn't fuck anything up.

The collider itself isn't especially complex, just a large tube with magnets to bend the particle beam. It's all the various particle detectors. NG did a story on it several months ago.
