These scams usually involve a guy showing a camera/laptop/whatever to them, and saying he has a truck full of them which he can sell at an extremely low price if they buy immediately. If they give him money they get a box similar to the one with the real laptop, but containing just bricks or something like that.

I agree, you must be a total moron to fall for it. But then, 99% of people are.

The guys you know are morons.

They even had a $500 price tag on them. He told me he would sell it to me for $100. I took one look at them and could easily tell they were fake....:)

Yes, they sell those "movado" watches in New York for only $15 or less.

I sorry but even if someone is a total moron and has an IQ of 50 could not do something that stupid.

Lets see here, he gave the guy $300 CASH for a laptop that is sealed in a box.
He actually gave him $300 cash even before open the box to see whats inside ????
Thats to me is just moronic and I can't see it hapenning depsite how dumb that person is.
You'd be surprised at what people will do. I don't doubt the story for an instant.

You know what the sad thing is? If the original post was something like this "Girl I know just got scammed for $300", no one would doubt it. They would all make fun of that girl. Some might even offer help to that girl.

When i was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, this dude was peddling watches. He had Rolexes. We checked them out, nad the quality was so bad that it was too much even for a fake.

One person in our party (who is a total asshoile and idiot), got in an argument w/me. he insisted they were real. i told them they were fake -- the crystal wasn't flush, the second hand wasn't ticking in a smooth motion, and he was selling them for $50!

the stupid ass said, "it's heavy, so it is real."

i told him, "dude, if u wanna get ripped off, go ahead."

so he bought one andthought he was the man because he had a "real" rolex.

later we passed a jewelry store, and i told him to bring in the watch to see how much it was worth.

we went inside, and the the jeweler laughed at him because it was so obvious it was a fake it wasn't even funny. the jeweler also took it apart right in front of him. HHAAHHHHA

stupid people are born every second!
