When I go to the gym, I do my work and keep my mouth shut. And don't get in my way, especially those fags. You get in my way, and you get your ass put in its place.
 
Don't worry. I doubt she's going to instantly fall in love with some big greasy dude. Although, it wouldn't hurt to bulk up yourself. Maybe you two can go together.
 
Can't say i've ever seen much flirting at my gym....seems girls look at guys lifting weights and think that he's all self-involved or whatever...yet these are the same girls that won't date someone who'se not ROCK HARD!

Well, the showers are always co-ed, which is really cool, unless you get Mrs. Johnson's aerobics class in there with ya, and all of the 1/4-ton huns sweating to the oldies. Eww.
 
The gym my girl goes to is NOT coed, they alternate nights. Actually, if the girls wanna go on guy nights that's cool but not the other way around.

I go to a fitness center every day, and there is very little hooking-up going on, trust me. If you're really concentrating on working out then that doesn't leave much room for flirting.

BTW...with everyone so gross and sweaty, what the heck kind of first impression would that make??? "Hey baby, I know I stink. But do you want to go out?"

the wife goes to the gym. i go ocassionally but prefer to work out at home. most people do their thing and then head home. if your gf's gonna flirt, whether or not she's at the gym won't matter, she can do that anywhere.
 
Yeah, in my experience - the gym's not a flirting ground. That's just a tv-portrayed thing coz everyone's getting sweaty and wear very little.
I wouldn't worry, unless you think you g/f's the over-flirtatious type anyway. And even if she was, there's a fair chance she'd be snubbed at the gym - as jjones said, most people get their heads down to get on with it.
