How about something for a car mechanic, after a long day at the shop? Sweating, filthy, occasionally completely covered in oil or diesel or gasoline. What all products should he ideally use to return himself to a clean, non-foul-smelling, comfortable, smooth, man?

😛

I just rinse and maybe use the excess shampoo foam to wash myself a little. I smell just fine though. Girls compliment me on how I smell frequently.. So, I know I don't smell bad.

I don't use soap because it dries out my skin or some shit. Every time I use it it feels like my skin is going to choke my whole body or something. I don't like how it feels at all. Also, soaps smell like ass... And I already hate mixing two different smells(My deodorant and cologne), so adding in a third will fuck it up even worse. >_<

Scent from soap very seldom lingers on the skin because of the nature of soap.. it's meant to cleanse and then wash away. Your cologne is for adding lingering scent so you can enjoy all manner of fabulous scents in your shower without fear of clashing aromas🙂

Oh and you can buy soap that will moisturize and condition your skin,
and you can buy soaps with an astringent quality to absorb excess oils.

What you need is a full body workdown with some Gojo.

What types of scents do you like? citrus, herbal? foody aromas? spice?

What type of skin do you have?

I have 7 different bottles of Axe body wash, 7 Axe balls and 7 of the suction cup thingies that hold the bottles & the balls on my shower wall. I use a different one every day. Some just smell different, but I definitely notice a big difference between when I use the moisturizer one and the Snake Peel with the exfoliating beads. And every 2 weeks I throw all the balls in the washing machine and sanitize them.

I wanted to get some more of the suction cup & axe ball holders, a few of mine are old don't stick to the wall as well as they did when i got them. But Axe doesn't have them for sale any more 🙁

LOL... Take a pic of that.

Anyway, girl here and use the body wash stuff. It seems most moisturizing. I buy it on sale, so price is comparable to soap or probably just a little more. If I had to pay the regular $6+ a bottle, then I would stick with the bar soap.

Dunno. I'm looking for a gift for a friend of mine. I suspect that he'd perhaps like a 'foody aroma'. I don't understand what you're asking by type of skin.

Dry skin? oily skin? sensitive skin that's prone to rashes or redness?

He needs products that will cleanse deeply without leaving his skin feeling rough and dried out, foaming scrubs are fabulous for this as are bar soaps used with a shower poof, he can follow up as needed with shea butter based products to protect and soften his hands.

Savor soap has a pumice based foot scrub that's excellent for face and hands that doesn't smell girly.

here, you can shoot Lisa a convo, she'll be glad to help you!

Btw, I get NOTHING for sharing this knowledge, except knowing that I can help make the world a little cleaner, a little softer and a little sweeter smelling. Besides Lisa and her hubby are IT peeps, gotta support our geek sistas and brothers🙂

I use body wash with a pouf

Body soap with a poof is the only way to get a good scrub, which having oily skin, I need.

Now, if they could only make a poof that doesn't prematurely fall apart...friggin things are made to self destruct.

I'm guessing that poof means something different in the US than it does in the UK :hmm:

yep typically whatever scent of axe I decide to buy, I use bar soap sometimes but I don't like the way it feels. Afterwards it feels like there's a layer of film on me.

Somebody's sarcasm meter needs adjustment. Somehow though, your behavior doesn't surprise me at all.

there are unscented brands... there's also stuff like axe bodywash.

the body wash I use just smells like soap. no perfumes in it that I'm aware of.

not sure how to compare on price, but a bottle of body wash lasts me a lot longer than a bar of soap and the price isn't significant enough in either scenario to really matter. a $5 bottle of body wash will last me like 6 months.

lol, so what does soap smell like?

Given that I'm a heterosexual male, I use soap. Not body wash and a loofah or a "pouf" or whatever the fuck that thing is.
