Guys: Do you use body wash?

I never thought I would use body wash until I ran out of soap three years ago. I found a bottle my ex-wife left behind and used that, and have used body wash ever since. I hate the film soap leaves on my skin.

the film is due to the soap, or your water iirc... but body wash is different enough to not do it... i also do not know how people use body wash without a poof/lufa.

? put a bit in your hand and start on your chest/stomach and work your way around not hard lol.

Every so often I have neither warm fresh rendered boar fat, nor irish spring and I must wash my stank ass - so I reach for my wifes fruity girly frilly body wash.

I squeeze it into my chest hairs and lather it up - then rub bits of the foam on the dirty parts, then rinse.

That's what I do with bar soap. I rub the bar on my chest and arms to hold the soap, then wash my chest/arms, onto the face, and last my ass.

Soaps worked fine for me. Body wash just seems more expensive and harder to use cause you need a sponge for effective foaming. Also I wasted a lot with body wash when some hits the deck.

I use coast cause I like the smell.

Some of us work out daily, like to smell/feel clean and have greater personal hygiene habits. It's not abnormal for me to shower several times a day. The gf definitely appreciates it.

Greater, maybe. Excessive, most likely. Seriously several? A workout is one extra shower. Under extenuating circumstances (broken/no AC, getting muddy, etc) I've gone up to three or four. To each their own I guess, but if I tried several showers, even just rinsing with hot water, without sweating my ass off my skin'd be turned to scale by the end of the day. 😛

The 'sponges' (poofer things) cost $0.99 at Walmart.

Body soap with a poof is the only way to get a good scrub, which having oily skin, I need.

Now, if they could only make a poof that doesn't prematurely fall apart...friggin things are made to self destruct.

They do.
You just need to go out the country for that.

imo, it doesnt go near as far as when you use a lufa/poof... ive tried both, and use WAYYYY less with a poof.

The poofs are pretty good. I use about the same amount of body wash as I used shampoo.

Without a poof or something, you'll use at least 10x as much trying to get full body coverage.

I shower twice daily - use a mixture of both *flannel and soap or shower gel and loofah* (soap is cheaper than shower gel, and I go through shower gel quite quickly), wash whole body with either soap or shower gel. Use face wash for face. Rinse. Moisturize body. Use face cream on face.

Love shower time - I cant function if Im not clean.

My five cents, glad to make your lives meaningful😛🙂

I don't really see the point. Maybe if you have really excessive chest/body hair or a skin condition, but beyond that it just seems like overkill. Never mind that whatever you hit will probably be smelling like some chemical for hours (which IMO is never good regardless of the scent, but that's me). Personally I only hit the smelly/sealed areas (ie: armpits, crotch) with soap and let the rest rinse.

sniff...sniff..Oh...ok, THAT's what that smell is.

No, I don't use "body wash." I use soap...and unlike the OP, I wash ALL the areas, not just the "smelly/sealed areas."

Well, if you like stinking, I guess that's the way to do it.

No. I can't stand the body wash my fiancee uses.. I like to feel squeaky clean after a shower, not like I'm covered in lotion. Ugh, can't stand that feeling after a shower. Feels like I didn't wash at all.
