GUYS: Are you intimidated by smart women?

Last night, I checked out Marc Perkel's website (as suggested by someone on this board) and came across something rather interesting...he says, "If you're a smart girl it's slim pickings out there. Guys don't like girls who are smarter than they are. Makes them feel real insecure."

So, I asked a few gal pals of mine if they agreed with Perkel's opinion and they quickly answered "Yes!" Personally, I agree with Perkel & my pals. At this point, I just wanna be enlightened as to why guys would be intimidated by/insecure around smart women.


 
I've only dealt with one of them in a relationship. She had her advantages and disadvantages. She figured out that if she secretly stalked me here that she might get "valuable insight" into how I think and this eventually concluded with her reading a few YAGT's of which she was the subject. Let's just say that it didn't last...

I'm only attracted to intelligent women. A gorgeous bimbo just gets boring whenever you're not in bed.
 
Depends on what you mean by smart. I've never dated anyone that wasn't at least college educated. The girl I'm with right now is multilingual, bachelors student and seems like a very bright girl. Last gf was also multilingual and a masters student (now a PhD student) BUT, she did some stupid sh1t while I was with her. Common sense type stuff that just made me go... "WTF... I can't even imagine how stupid someone would have to be to let that happen." The two of us were the epitome of the Booksmart vs Streetsmart analogy.

Personally, I'm not very academic... I pass all my classes, I learn a lot, but I rarely put any effort into school (you can tell by my GPA 😛). That said, I consider myself more intelligent than most of my friends. Not to say my friends are stupid or to brag or something. I can easily name people who I perceive as being more intelligent than me... just not the majority of the people I know.

Arousing is definitely the right choice. I got in some rather fierce competition with a young lady in my high school math class ... and it didn't take long for the mental battle to get physical. 😉

I find dumb and ditsy women very unattractive.
I think most guys like to feel smarter than their spouse and be the 'breadwinner'.

Me personally, I don't give a crap...the smarter the better...as long as she's hot 🙂

Arousing is definitely the right choice. I got in some rather fierce competition with a young lady in my high school math class ... and it didn't take long for the mental battle to get physical. 😉
