I have a friend who just started college. She keeps talking about this great guy she met, but the catch is hes gay, and shes falling for him. Yet theyve kissed and thought about sex....btw, im like hes GAY rite? So this guy is supposidly gay, hes only told 2 girls (one of them is my friend) and he is rushing for a frat? that leads me to question what kinda gay guy is this, i think hes just trying to get in my friends pants, what do u think.

If we are to believe that being gay is genetic, then wouldn't it be just as difficult for a gay guy to sleep with a girl as it would be for a straight guy to sleep with a guy?

he is either bisexual or a pimp...either way your friend should keep her distance...unless she likes STD's.

well first off, that's why his gayness is being called into question...

secondly, even among heterosexuals, there is variation in how difficult it would be for someone to sleep with someone of the same gender.

Exactly. What I'm saying is that I doubt he's gay.

How so? If you're not gay, you're not gay. If it's genetic, it would be like a switch. It's on, or it's off.

yea, i would agree with you there.

eh not necessarily... there is no on / off switch for hair color is there? or height... or.. well you get the point.

Well, it can't be a genetic "on-off" switch if there are bi-sexuals. You might be able to tell that I'm not convinced it's genetic.

As for hair color, that's different. Either you sleep with other men or you don't. There aren't any other axes there.

that could be because you have the misconception that something must be either "yes or no" if it is genetic. genetics is pretty complicated.. very very often, something that seems like it should only be controlled by one gene is actually controlled by many others, and those other genes will often affect other aspects of the human that you would have never imagined were related to the first trait. you would *not* be able to conclude that homosexuality is not genetic simply because some people are bi-sexual. btw, my personal opinoin is that it isn't fully genetic... just like hair color, it can be influenced by environmental factors (and i don't mean dying, i mean like diet).

um why is it different? either your hair is black or it's white. right? oh wait...

If you think about it, bisexuals are a bit oversexed...they will sleep with either sex.

It IS partly genetic....but not totally for sure.

Well, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about genetics. I should also say that I don't care if people are gay or bisexual or whatever, and that me being convinced about it being genetic doesn't really matter. It's just something I find interesting.

I wonder if they do studies on these types of things?

I've heard of too many stories of girls falling for gay guys, who they KNOW are gay. From watching the Sunday Sex Show w/ that old kinky bastid to being in Human Sexuality. I'm mixed on the situation. I can't imagine being born gay. BUT. I leave myself the option to believe it could be true, as it very-well can be. I know that they did do studies on transexuals that certain parts of their brain actually are EXACTLY like the female equivalent, rather than the male equivalent. This makes me believe (naively) that transexuals actually may have been ment to be the opposite sex, and having the sexchange reallywill help them accept themselves. So why can't that be true for gays?

...Dare I mention the word, "regligion"?!?!?!?!? HOHOHOHHOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHEHHEHEHEEHE

I do know one thing, some beliefs are thoroughly flawed!!!

He either swings both ways, or he isn't ready to accept that he's gay. My gf dated a gay guy. At the time he said he was bi. He was too scared to be completely "out" you might say.

I suppose it's possible that he's acting gay just to get some ass, but it's unlikely and pretty weird to do so.

This is a big thing in college. Girls fall for a guy that is "gay" because they can't have it. It's always about wanting what you can't have until you have it, then you're like nah, I don't want it anymore.

This is the same thing. Guys will claim they are gay to girls, and only girls. Then the girls want to "straighten them out", hence getting in bed with them at first chance. It's a way for frat guys to get a lot of ass w/o trying.

BTW...she should stay away from him.

For MOST people . . . some are 50-50 others 99.9-0.1

BiSexuals are not more oversexed (certainly NOT more than gay who are oversexed in comparison to hetros)

There is such variation there are NO set rules

CAUTION is alays advised.

if your friend is interested, she should get to know this guy well before she becomes intimate ;)
