guy loses balance on his bike...

we were stopped at a red light and this little dude tried to cross the street on his bike. while he was trying to get onto the seat of his bike, he lost his balance and fell down with no force at all onto the ground -- barely in a place where he could have hurt himself (we had a pretty good angle).

anyhow, he didn't know how to react, so while he was still holding onto his bike, he started squirming. however, that didn't work so well, so he started rolling into the gutter so that he'd pretend that he REALLY got hurt, since the little spectacle brought enough attention on him at that point that people were approaching him to see if he was okay. since he's male, i guess he wanted to look macho enough to feign pain in order to be "well respected" among a bunch of pedestrians to make it appear that he really got into a serious accident. he was even playing dead there for a moment. :roll:

it was an odd story that i thought i'd share.

he wasn't directly in front of us. he was on the other side of the road, so we didn't have to worry. but that was definitely the lamest faking of pain i've ever seen.

I was driving the car and watched him fall down. It was like the whole thing was happening in slow motion...because it was! He fell so gently and then started rolling around like a baby and then didn't get up for like 30 seconds.

situations like that, I just just try to get away from the humiliation zone as quickly as possible.

I remeber do a similar jumpstart move on my bike next to a wall. My attention was on a group of cute girls, so I ended up practically running into the wall. I scraped my left hand pinky knuckle down to the bone against the stucko wall, and ate pavement. Girls asked if I was alright, with blood running down my hand I grunted "yup" and wobbled away as fast as I could.
