Where do you live? That looks a hell of alot like South Florida 😀

That must be some trailer if it overpowered the 6.0L powerstroke diesel that makes about 500ft/lbs of torque, which, if you do get a f250/350, is the only engine you should get.

He did have a diesel in his f350, no? 14,000 is over the tow weight limit of the F350 (though many do tend to over tow the weight limits of there F350's. F350 has about 1500lb more capacity than the F250), thats a liability if he ever got into an accident. He should have sprung for a F450 or F550.

Edit: max trailer weight for the F350 dually is 12,700lb (99 spec, could be more for 05). WHereas F450 and F550 are 17,300 max.

The weight of the trailer was too much even for the F550. Also, having a bigger tow vehicle will improve the driving experience.

Hell, the cab of the truck is almost big enough to fit a SUV inside it.
About the parking: the front wheels can turn 55 degrees, this is a huge angle. I don't think there would be problems to park it in any place where it would physically fit

Yes, he had the powerstroke diesel in his F350. He also had airbags in the rear to level out the load but it still had difficulty pulling up hills. The problem was the transmission, it would shift down into first gear on hills!!!

He finally decided to weigh his 5th wheel trailer and found that it weighs about 18,000 lbs. That's way too much weight for any pick up truck. The tongue weight of the trailer was 5,000 lbs. It's a custom trailer designed to tow his dune buggy and also live in (he doesn't live in it though).

seeing someone driving that to work everyday would scare the crap out of me, that thing make an explorer look like a mini

otoh, for a trailer tht large, you need a rig with that kind of power
