Too soft on real criminals, too harsh on bullshit like minor drug possession offenses. Any conviction for a crime committed with a loaded weapon should be life imprisonment.

Interesting. I assumed the victim was avoiding the question which I thought was weird.

The leg shown looks black. It was probably edited to avoid racist commentary, but the dispatcher's questions should have been edited out also. Now most of the comments are why it was edited. lol

He took that turn too fast and had severe understeer.

He's 16. He's about as good a driver as a blindfolded Asian girl after several beers. Or worse, a blindfolded cabbie after 1 beer.

Could that have been it though, he was trying to take a hard right turn at >40mph? Was it his first time operating something with wheels, even at that age? Good god...
Maybe he figured that time spent playing GTA 5 had prepared him adequately.


(My city's cabbies, blindfolded but without any beers, would have spent the time after the crash swearing loudly at the post and any cars nearby, while also lighting up for a smoke.)

We are by far the world leader in amount of people incarcerated. We have WAY more people in jail than any other country, period, and way more per capita than any other 1st (or 2nd/3rd) world nation.

Over 50% of whom are locked up for drug related offenses.

No it doesn't, neither does the car you can see too, but I don't see color where color doesn't exist. Now I'm not saying the perp wasn't black, but the arm especially looks very light, almost my color. Which nobody would mistake for black.

If the perp were white, I don't think he would've censored it.
Clearly he doesn't want the video to be about race, but about making better choices in life.

That's fine and dandy, but the person I replied to said the leg looks like it belongs to a black person, no it doesn't. Maybe the censoring of the audio subconsciously effected his perception of what he thought he saw. I don't know.

Video was pretty boring. I noticed the carjacker used his turn signal for almost every lane change and turn he made though.

Not to make this about race, but you are wrong. Screenshots have been posted on other websites and everyone agrees that the leg definitely looks black.

Sigh; pretty much summarizes US justice policy over the last 30 years.

Also can you really tell whether they were black or hispanic or italian from the knee screen cap? Car theft is more of a latino thing I thought.
