id feel bad if i threw the ball a foot too short and as a result a guy died and his kid watched the whole thing and tv anouncers joked about it

id probably jump off a bridge 🙁

ok maybe not that far

Damn, that really sucks. I have a guy there shooting the home run pyro, and am surprised he hasn't mentioned this.

Or broke his neck when he landed. Kid will be traumatized for life. RIP.🙁

I feel really bad for the guys family, but imagine how Hamilton must feel about this, that would really have to mess with his head.

The guy that threw the ball? Nah, no law suit there. A suit towards the Rangers though? I could see that.

Hate to admit I thought about lawsuit also. I was watching the game on and off tonight too but didnt hear about it until after game was over.

There will likely be a lawsuit for negligence of some sort, and then likely new laws will be passed as a knee-jerk reaction to an unfortunate incident

though i dont really know if thered be any basis to a lawsuit, i mean come on, you lean off a high thing too far and you will fall.

but this is america, you dont need a basis to win a lawsuit.

i wonder if the guys family will sue him? or the rangers?
I wouldn't doubt it.

The guy was alive long enough to ask people to look after his son while on a stretcher.

George W was at this game was well. Also last July something similar like this happened.

nj.com reports:
"They had him on a stretcher. He said, 'Please check on my son. My son was up there by himself.' The people who carried him out reassured him. 'Sir, we'll get your son, we'll make sure he's OK,'" Ziegler said. "He had his arms swinging. He talked and was conscious. We assumed he was okay. But when you find out he's not, it's just tough."

...
Former president George W. Bush was sitting in the front row with Ryan (Team President) near the Rangers when the accident happened. Ryan left moments later while Bush remained in the seats.

...
Last July at Rangers Ballpark, a fan fell 30 feet from the second deck of seats at Rangers Ballpark while trying to catch a foul ball. That fan, Tyler Morris, suffered a fractured skull and sprained ankle.
After Morris was hurt last year, he called the incident a "100 percent, total accident that could have happened to anybody." He said he didn't blame the Rangers or the ballpark.

every time I see someone reach over the ledge for a foul ball I cringe and hope this doesnt happen. ugh. I hope that wasn't his kid next to him

edit: looks like it was his son. terrible.

Hamilton has nothing on the guy's son who watched his dad die in front of him.

Absolutely, I meant no disrespect for the man's kid and family, and I can't even begin to imagine what the kid is feeling or going through, and can only wish the best for them.
