Thanks for the information.

I do 3DS Max work, I am a pretty serious gamer and I'm a network consultant by trade, so I pretty much run the gamut. I just bought a dual-core laptop, and I can bring it to its knees, so I'm going as high end on this box as I can. As I said, I have $7500 to spend, but I would rather keep it at about $6K if I can.

I'm interested in the Dell monitor - they don't have it available on their site yet, but I'm hoping it will be there soon.

I like the idea of going with the danger den waterblock and using the eVGA cards to save ~$200, but I would like to find a single-slot endplate for the card since after removing the fan I can free up the neighboring slot. I'm not sure that is going to be easy to do.

I'm also looking for a quality (black) fan/pump controller/card reader/temp indicator.

I'm still torn on memory - I'm not sure what kind of benefits I am going to get out of going with something that is > DDR2 800, but the new OCZ RAM with the built-in watercooling heatsink is pretty nifty... I like corsair though - tough call.

Power supply is the other issue. I've been reading up on all of this, but it's hard to get a read on the subject.

Yeah I'm a consultant, so I should know more about all of this - that's one of the reasons I am doing this project ;)

I would suggest eVGA cards, but whatever. Otherwise, You need a PC Power and Cooling power supply, as big as you want. You could even have 1kw if you wanted.....
