Guru3DAMD Catalyst 14.4 (14.100.0.0 March 27)

Users at guru3d and over clock are reporting that power tune is fixed and clock speed issues that many saw are also fixed in these drivers.

I think they're due for a WHQL driver. These will probably end up being that driver. Many of the people who I've read tried them have had some major issues fixed with clock speeds and power limit.

I'm going for it.

I think Warsam, the AMD rep guy here, has said the next WHQL Catalyst drivers are very close.

Thanks csbin.

I installed it on Win 7 X64, 7950 CFX and it works good so far.

Very happy with the automatic check they included in catalyst. Problem is that it seems to have a two week check interval, but at least they included a check now button!

Anyone know if these (or next WHQL) have BF4 Mantle optimizations for HD7XXX series CF?

As i know, not officially. But i know a bunch of users reporting FPS gains on many games(along with bugfixes) with this 14.4 driver. One example here: bit.ly/1gvyGmj (text below is translated to english):

I don't generally save prints of my gaming for long time....

Basically, the gains were:

Thief with all DLCs and last patch, Ultra settings + AF x16: up 2 FPS avg;

Tomb Raider on Ultimate: Up 2 FPS;

Crysis 3 Vhigh/Vhigh + FXAA: 3 to 10 FPS up, depending on the scene;

Grid 2 Ultra: up 2,5 FPS;

MetroLL Max settings without AA and Physx: +2-5 FPS(3 FPS avg)

BF3 Multiplayer Ultra: 4FPS gains;

BF4 Multiplayer Ultra+Mantle: Stutter free for now, FPS are 10%(or more) up;

Config is Corei5 2500k@4,8Ghz + 2xHD 7950@1035/6200 + Win 8.1 and 1920x1080 resolution.

Another Mantle killing driver, this time from AMD!

I'll install it later tonight.

Interesting, looks like the mantle drivers may be really progressing, good news. I shall try these out soon, though I may just wait a bit for a more stable/official release.

I'm using them just because power limit is working again. Also, my card didn't go into hibernation when it went to sleep this time either so no black screen.

So far so good.

EDIT: These drivers also fixed the artifacts I was getting in chrome any time I overclocked my RAM.

Sounds cool! How do they do for mining? Anyone test yet?

I've been running these since the leak. Great drivers in everything I play. Noticeably better than the 14.3 drivers. Elder Scrolls Online, World of Tanks, Diablo 3, and Battlefield 4 all run fast and smooth.

Well now you mentioned Diablo, I did notice around 10-15% less gpu load when playing with Tridef, but Tridef 6.2 was installed at about the same time as the leaked driver and they mentioned improvements on Diablo's profile, so I thought it was it. Oh well, improvements are always welcome from wherever they come.
