I'd never heard of them before today and I have no idea if this is legit or a new BOSE but goddamn that is one hot co-founder of an international company.

Supposedly they protect your eyes from the 'bad' light created from monitors, overhead lighting and such. I spend most days in front of a PC and my eyes do feel pretty beat up regularly, though I guess I always attributed it to lack of sleep and contacts. Anyone familiar with them?

They were on sale on Woot the other day. I grabbed a pair for like $35 can't hurt to try them out.

They do two things (supposedly) - filter out some of the "blue" light band of LCD's and they also have a modest magnification ratio to aid somewhat on squinting eye strain. Not sure how much snake oil there is to them though without trying. Not sure it's worth a $40 test from woot.

I bought a cheap pair of "computer glasses", very similar to what she's selling.

HATED them.

Until someone actually shows in a scientific study to show that this product actually does anything beneficial, I'll consider it snake oil and will not pay anything for it.

I do like the that lady though.

they wrap around the eye and keep the moisture in, so i get to blink less.

same problems.. my eye doctor says it's because we tend to blink less sitting in front of the PC all day.. dries out the eyes/contacts and causes fatigue.

I've got a pair, and wear them regularly during my day job. I think the slight magnification does help with eye strain (certainly noticeable late in the afternoon). However, I'm not so sure about keeping your eye's moist, but that might be because my office is always stuffy/dusty as hell.

Why not just sit 1 inch closer to your monitor and screw up the color calibration to give everything a vivid yellow tint. Same effect for free.
