Gun Nuts probably suffer from lead poisoning

Lead is found in bullets as well as the explosive that ignites gunpowder. When a bullet is fired, it gets so hot that that lead actually vaporizes. Firing range employees breathe in the lead fumes, as well as ingest lead dust that settles on their body and clothes. OSHA sets the permissible level of atmospheric lead at 50 micrograms/meter2, but the report found that level frequently exceeded at military firing ranges, sometimes by several orders of magnitude.

That probably explains the aggression, impulsivity, and paranoia that so many gun nuts exhibit. They're breathing in lead vapor everytime they fire the weapon.

Troll troll troll your boat, gently down the stream.... :whiste:

Based on the paranoia of the anti-gun zealots, I'd have to think they are the ones suffering from some sort of disorder.

You know how many times gun nuts ADHD the whole, "they're comin to take away our guns" thing? and how no matter how often people explain carefully that they're not, they don't seem to register but instead just shout again, "they're comin' to take our guns"?

Trolls gonna troll, So then what is the explanation for the gun control nuts?

Pondering locking this as a troll thread. -Admin DrPizza

No one who's replied so far has even read the article.

Thanks for the help. It's not trolling, you're just too stupid to realize that calling members of the military, police, etc. "gun nuts" isn't trolling. -DrPizza

The "article" is just BS. What you claim doesn't even make sense and you still haven't explained why the way gun control nuts behave. Its clearly obvious you just want to attack gun owners

How doesn't it make sense? You're just saying it doesn't make sense without explaining why

You must be eating the lead bullets whole. Have you looked around this forum and seen the threads about liberals trying to take away guns?

I see it as a public service message. Who woulda thunk I got crazy at the firing range. And as for the full metal jacket comment, what does the poster think lead is, a rare earth element.

I read the article and it does not appear to be inflammatory. All it really says is that the military recognises there are hazardous levels of lead on their ranges and they are making efforts to clean up at least 700 of them. The article mentions jacketing on the bullets can reduce exposure prior to firing, but once the bullet hits a target the lead is exposed. I am not familiar with all the physics of the firing process, but I have had it explained to me that nonjacketed rounds at least melt prior to leaving the barrel to an extent.

It is not hard to believe that a measurable amount of lead vapour or particles are released in a cloud around the opening of the barrel which could easily be inhaled.

You know how much lead you need to get lead poisoning as adult? The answer is a shit ton.

Also, did you know the fluoride poisoning does almost the same thing?

The Centers for Disease Control (US) has set the standard elevated blood lead level for adults to be 25 (µg/dl) of the whole blood. For children however, the number is set much lower at 5 (µg/dl) of blood as of 2012 down from a previous 10 (µg/dl).

I live in one of the few cities in that has voted down water fluoridation several times and for that I am thankful.
