When something like this happens outside the US, it's News because it is very rare. When it happens inside the US, it merely overshadows the previous shooting.

It's rare in the U.S. as well. At macro view, mass shootings wouldn't even be visible object when looking at a table of U.S. leading causes of death. At around 17 deaths annually over the last 50 years, mass shootings don't rise above statistical noise. That's not to say it's not tragic for those impacted, but for something with similar death rates (like rare diseases) we almost certainly wouldn't be making major policy adjustments that impacted the rights of all citizens.

Thank goodness Germany's gun laws stopped this.

Do we really have to talk about gun laws in every mass shooting thread? Isnt it enough you guys have all the guns you could want? Its fucking boring talking about the same fucking thing.

Then stop talking about them when some random crazy decides to shoot up people and blame it on all gun owners.

What are you talking about? You came in guns blazing on post #5 talking about gun laws.
Yes, it's obvious that no shootings will take place if they had strong gun laws.

What about the heavy weapons cache found in germany a few days ago? And didn't the Paris guns come from germany? Wasn't there some guy who was stopped coming from Germany that had a ton of guns?

Look, stop being retarded, gun laws only prevent lawful people from owning guns. That's it.

Link says the "attackers" were heavily armed. I'd be really surprised if they meant they had battle axes and studded armor.
I agree there. Although the other news outlets I had checked before posting had only mentioned the tear gas and none confirming any injuries as a result of firearms, to label the situation as a mass shooting seemed to be jumping the gun a little. 🙂

You sir win the internet today!
Also this 😀

Dude just admit you were wrong or quick to judge and the pain ends.
I wasn't wrong at all. There was a shooting, wasn't there?

If guns aren't allowed, then how was there a shooting? Sure, could have been some guy that belonged to a hunting club that came out and did something illegal. Then we'll hear how they need to ban hunting club guns too.

You're doubling down.
