A Democratic state senator who is seeking former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s congressional seat was arrested Wednesday at O'Hare International Airport after trying to board an aircraft to Washington, D.C., with a gun, authorities said.

He lied about working as a security Guard which was a complete fabrication???

The South Side lawmaker told authorities that he worked late Tuesday night as a security guard for Allpoints Security and Detective Inc. and had packed his bag early Wednesday morning. Trotter, who has the proper permits and licenses to carry a firearm for security work, told officials he forgot the gun and clip were in the bag.

The Ironny here is that this politician is an anti-Gun Activist from Chicago. What is Ironic is people in Chicago want to take guns away except for the politically elite!

Amazing, the TSA actually caught someone! We usually read stories where guns waltz past TSA inspectors asleep at the switch.

As for Trotter, I have zero sympathy for him. Too bad, Trotter will probably not get the dem nod to run for a US congressional seat. And can probably expect to pay a heavy fine at least.

Gotta love the irony, it's just like when some "family values" douche ends up getting busted with a hooker or having an affair or something. Anti-gun nut has gun, will travel :D

Politicians are such hypocritical scum.

The only way this thread would have interested me is if he whipped out the gun and started firing.

I keep wondering how I'm ever going to live in another state or county after being here so long. I mean, when u actually live here, see the corruption, directly know people who witness the corruption, it's like pure entertainment. Short of moving to a total shithole, like certain IL towns or Afghanistan, what other place would give that spice of life that this place provides? Jersey maybe?

this thread needs a better title. No liberal would make it so generic, if it was a republican being a hypocrit.

If above is confirmed I can see forgetting.

The dude was carrying a .25 caliber pistol. He's just one of the many Chicago elite that are notionally "employed" by a security firm in order to obtain the license to carry a handgun that is denied to the general public.

That is gun control.

Yes, it's wonderful that only politically connected people can have guns, the peasants deserve no protection and no right to protect themselves. Let them eat cake.

Typical hypocrite.

Do as I say, not as I do... Typical.

Yep, hypocrite as usual. I'm sure the MSLM (main stream leftist media) will not expose this scum for his hypocrisy though.

This is the first I've heard about politicians wanting to take guns away except for elite? Is that accurate?

Either way, wtf is this guy thinking trying to get a gun on a plane. If I had tried something like that, you know full well I'd be cuffed, stripped searched, and interrogated for insert large number here hours.

Uh, look at the list of people with concealed carry permits in NYC, or Los Angeles County. Only the "elite" get them.

Even Texas attempts to price the riffraff out of the legal carrying game by charging ~$300 for a permit.

It's that way in Chicago. until recently NOBODY could get guns. BUT if you knew someone you could get a special permit.

even now chicago has passed insane lanes and hoops to jump through to get a gun legally (chicago is getting sued yet again on it). only people who can afford an attorney (you don't need but makes it so much faster and easier) and pay the fees get guns.

Maybe, maybe not. Rest assured Faux News (or, as I call them, FNTBFLOTV [Fox News, the biggest fucking liars on T.V.]) will, and they're the most watched news network on television, right?

So why do you care if the "MSLM" (*please* tell me you just made that stupid shit up...) covers it or not?

As for the good congressman, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Good god...and I thought $55 was expensive.

Does the $140 also cover the cost of the proficiency class?
