Because of his radical views, the election of Obama will cause skyrocketing sales of assault rifles and ammuntion. Now that is a legacy to be proud of. For gun rights advocates and criminals, a so called "In before Obama microstamp"

Congratulations, you're an idiot.

Why this stance, eskimospy? If you visit a gun shop (not a Walmart, a real gun shop) and talk to the people running it, its likely that you'd hear about how fast guns are being sold.

Neither candidate is viewed incredibly favorable by the NRA, but they are far more skeptical of Obama's stance on gun ownership:

I'm glad I logged in before hitting the sack. This thread is priceless. It's like they're not even trying anymore...

I guess it beats having a penis huh?

Unfortunately, on Oct 2 the UN will be confiscating Penises. Get up early, take a leak, shower, have your Penis near the door, flacid, it'll go much smoother that way.

Every month is a good month to buy. I bought a Mossberg 500 Cruiser the other day.

And yes Red, that is a gun in pants, and I'm happy to see you.

I refer you to the Michael Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine' (I think is how it is spelt)... we are paranoid... of everything.

Does that include scary evil guns?

Well, I invested in my guns and ammo long ago after Regan was elected. With the added economy of hand loading. But unlike other gun nuts, I know I will not stand a chance against well armed criminal gangs who use military tactics and massed firepower. I may take a few of them with me, but when the law of the jungle comes, we have insufficient experience at being criminals and thieves.

They sales are going up now precisely for the reasons the OP mentioned. Obama and Biden have publicly stated that they want to institute the AWB and make it permanent.
The people that are out buying them now see the writing on the wall and know that once Obama gets elected, the price of those items on the list are going to sky rocket over night. Then people will be paying as much as they can to get the items before Obama and Biden try to get Pelosi to introduce the bill and have it ramrodded through.

Your Lord says he believes in the 2nd Amendment but he seems to stop reading it before the last part that says "shall not be infringed"

As far as your "concern for the economy, you're partially right there because if He gets in office he's going to kill our economy with his bullshit idealogical plans and mandatory services.

You obviously arent aware that Obama wont take away your guns... That is another talking point from the reps, but its not true. There will be no change to gun laws. He does want to ban AK 47 style assault weapons, but that wont neccesarily happen.

You say he won't take away my guns but he will ban "assault weapons". He can't even describe an assault weapon and I doubt you can either.

My ar-15 is far less lethal than my 60 year old bolt action Mosin Nagant or a Remington 700 in .300 WinMag.

Get a clue as to what you're talking about before you want to stop people from buying it.

If he wants to ban guns that belong on battle fields then he's going to have to go after shotguns, pistols, bolt action rifles, ect ect ect.
What does it matter if my rifle holds 30 rounds in a mag or 10?
The VA attacks were done with a .22 pistol and a 9mm Glock. Cho has the highest body count of any US mass shooting. Why aren't they trying to ban the types of weapons he used?
If Anything the VA attack proves why we need less gun control and regulations because it's obvious the ones we have already don't work, and since he locked people in the building how else are they supposed to defend themselves? Sharp pencils? Had just the few students that were legal to conceal carry but were bared from doing so because of "gun free zones" been allowed to carry the death toll could have been a lot less.

Obama doesn't want to address the issue because that would mean that, his people since he continually refers to himself as black, would have to take accountability for their actions and that segment of the population has a higher rate of gun crime.

He already said he wouldn't vote for legislation in IL that would make it an automatic capital offense for gang members that committed murder because it would unfairly target blacks. Yet he was ok with stiffening hate crime penalties.

Are you religious? Just asking because I know some christians who are offended with that talk during the election.

Edit: And I'm sick of the right wing tools (you included) trying to portray Obama as a messiah

You've seen mad max too many times. Criminals are generally stupid and disorganized, and avoid "difficult" targets.

Works for me.

If sales of guns and ammo are up, I'm gonna say the economy is likely a bigger factor in that than the election.

I really don't want to see heavy taxes on ammo... brass is already really expensive, making ammunition expensive as well. There's still steel-cased ammo, but it can potentially be damaging to a lot of guns.

Fear is inculcated during our youth if not inherent from conception is my opinion. The fear, I suppose, then creates the paranoia or at least feeds it... Our news programs feed our need to be in fear, it seems to me.
