If you were really serious about defending your homestead with firearms, you would have already purchased everything you need a long time ago.
Same thing with a Democrat hitting office.

The panic buyers are also likely to be panic shooters when a friggen girl scout rings their doorbell.

It's just an excuse to pick up a new weapon and some practice ammo. Anytime there's something of note from legislation to a crisis Americans buy guns and ammo. It's why the authoritarian assholes hate us.

There's been no current discussion lately of impending gun legislation, people are just really nervous, nothing like this has ever happened before.

What's a good first gun to own? I've shot several times at the range. AR and pistol but never a shotgun. Mainly for defense and going to the range, and for the impending apocalypse

A lot of people are being laid off and losing jobs and most are lower income paycheck to paycheck. They were already living on the edge and for them it just got a lot worse. Turning to crime and taking matters into their own hands is inevitable. How far would you go to feed your family? Would a thousand dollars from the government even make a dent? I doubt it will be so much of holding up 7-11’s, but more so flipping out and taking hostages. Just imagine all the people that have suddenly become unemployed and with no advance warning. States made decisions to close nearly everything and that took effect within hours. Trump has two problems, the virus and starving families. This will get so bad that we haven’t seen anything yet.

Even worse is it's not like they can go out and get another job easily either. Yea, things in certain areas will get dicey indeed.

Seriously? With Biden appointing Beto "hell yes we're going to take your guns" O'rourke as his gun czar and Virginia working to pass all sorts of 2nd Amendment restrictions it's been in the news numerous times the last few weeks.
