Alright, so I've been trying to play many of The Killers songs on the piano and since I don't believe/I can't find any sheet music books out there for them (especially B-Sides), I have to rely on the Tabs on the internet. The problem is that they are for guitar, and I don't play the guitar or know how to read these tabs. How do I do it? For example:

From: http://www.911tabs.com/link/?3176068

e|---------8-8-7-----------------------------10-10-8-7-8-8-8-8-8-7------|
B|-------8-------8----------8-8-7-------7-10-----------------------10-8-|
G|-----9----------------7-7-------7---7---------------------------------|
D|--10----------------9-------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

and:

e|---------------|
B|---------------|
G|---------------|
D|---------------|
A|--7-7---5b-7---|
E|------7--------|

Anyone got a clue?

Give him sheet music.

Nah..simply change the time signature.

Good luck phasing a flamenco player with that method :)

Well, if you can understand piano, you should understand this:

The strings on a guitar in standard tuning, from the thickest and lowest-note, to the thinnest and highest-note, go E A D G B E, with the lowest E being the one just below middle C and the high E being two octaves higher.

Each fret is a semitone higher. Therefore, from first fret on up on the low E would be F F# G G# A A# B C C# D D# E... 12th fret is the octave.

Edit: so, in your example, the first few notes on your first line of tab would be... hmm...

e|---------8-8-7------------
B|-------8-------8----------
G|-----9----------------7-7
D|--10----------------9----
A|---------------------------
E|---------------------------

C4 E4 G4 C5 C5 B5 G4 B4 D4 D4...

Edit: SHOULD be... I only play bass guitar and I'm not very good at that.

lolz, I took classical guitar; could already read music. Tab is so much easier though, it's like using a 56k modem today when broadband is out there.

tab can be easily converted to notes. Look at the signature and fretting. Almost anything that is already in tab can be found in sheet though.
