Their response to Elixir strings?
It's a shame there's no electric strings on this sale, both of my electrics could use a new set :p

I'll bite. Elixers cost a damn arm and a leg - if these are as good I'll happily switch.

hrm... buy one get one and get 2 sets for $9.99... total price each $4.995

or

tell Diadarrio that you didn't like them and get one set for $0.00 (maybe tax)

we can see who the clear winner is here!!

what's the life on these compared to elixirs?

from my past experience, d'addarios sound great, but htye last less than a month!

The EXP's have actually lasted longer than my polywebs. They compare quite well to nanowebs. I definately feel that they're stronger than elixers. I've yet to break an EXP string and I've gone through a number of elixers.

everybody's style and taste is different, though. For me, for the price, EXP's are top dog. I get these for $7/pack normally. Elixers are ~$12/pack.

cool...i'm in for a few packs then. i've been using nanowebs for the past couple years, and if these turn out well, maybe i'll switch.

where do you get them for 7 a pack?

I change the strings on my acoustics every month anyways. I've been using the EXP's for a while...very happy with 'em. :)

thanks for the tip...i'll have to try it out

so far in my experience, i've heard strings that sound better than the elixir nanos - but when it comes to durability, i haven't found any yet that retain sound as well as teh elixirs...

hopefully either these exps or dean markleys will prove to be a cheaper alternative for me

ok i have gotten my exps and tried them out...

i think i still like the nanos better :( these exps seem identical to regular d'addarios...the sound is good, but i don't like the feel - i think i'm spoiled by the coating on the nanos that allow me to shift more smoothly
