Guitar setup question

I got a new guitar today (Les Paul copy) and it has a tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. I took the strings off to polish off a rough spot and the assembly fell off (I understand only the strings hold it together). I'm not sure how to setup the action. Does anyone know the "average" heights of the bridge and tailpiece? Right now I have the tailpiece screwed all the way down and the bridge about halfway up. Thx

Now that I have an excuse to show pics of my guitar, here's a couple 😀. It's an Agile-brand with an ash body, and I got it on clearance for just over $200

You got to set them to your likeing. Too low causes fret buzz and too high makes it hard to hold down strings and makes you fumble soloing.
