Guitar People...help is this guitar okay?

Can you tune it?

If you play hard for 5 minutes is it still in tune?

How about if you tune it and leave it overnight?

i just got the guitar a while a go...i tuned it then i left it in my closet for a couple months.. i dont remember if it was like that or not..im a noob...

hmm, it looks kinda like an Ibanez to me, what kind is it? It looks like it'd be a great guitar to learn on if thats what you're wanting to do.

yep...its an ibanez rx170... i jus wanna know if the guitar is in working order or not...it sounds okay..but that part just looks weird...maybe it suppose to be like that...

Yes that is perfectly normal. There's a back panel on the back to adjust that.

hey i opened the back..and theres a spring attatched to that part and then its hooked onto a metal thing thats screwed into the body/bridge part...and it doesnt look like it can be adjusted easily unless i screw in the screws (into the wood)

No way of of knowing if it's in working order unless you try it out. Like RagingBITCH said, its perfectly normal. You can adjust the height of the bridge if you take off the panel the back of it, most of the time people adjust the height of the bridge so the strings are closer or higher from the fretboard.

Hey, (Im still drunk) but.... I used to play guitar a little bit. I've had a Pevey T60, a Giboson Les Paul, Kaman acoustic, Kramer flying V, and I don't even know how to play the guitar. But I still love you guys and I could make a lot of noise. I had a four twelve 100 watt Marshall. Made a lot of noise.
Bwahahahaha 😀

all that and you don't know how to play guitar? hmm 😛 I've got a 1988 Fender American HM Strat and a 100w Marshall Valvestate head with a 4x12" Marshall cabinet 🙂

i think its set up too high. i believe it should be flush. like this

you have yours like this

back of my guitar has 2 screws i could screw to adjust this height here

if you have it too high, the action (distance between strings and fretboard) will also be too high
